Make restaurant-style French Toast without paying for restaurant prices. The aroma is heavenly and the vanilla flavor takes it to the next level.
Vanilla French Toast with Greek Yogurt Topping
Vegetarian, Soy Free, Nut Free
STIR together yogurt and 2 tsp. of the vanilla; refrigerate until ready to serve.
WHISK together the milk, eggs, and remaining 2 tsp. vanilla in medium shallow bowl or dish. Heat 1 Tbsp. butter in large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Dip two slices of bread into egg mixture; turn to coat both sides evenly. Place bread in skillet; cook about 4 minutes, turning after 2 minutes or until golden brown on each side. Repeat with remaining slices, adding more butter as needed.
TO SERVE, top French toast slices with mixed berries and Greek yogurt topping. Serve with syrup.
You can hold cooked French toast slices on a sheet pan in a 250ºF oven while cooking remaining slices.
For presentation, I recommend buying an unsliced bread loaf to slice yourself with a serrated knife.
