Smoothies! There are many green smoothies out there, but this tasty favorite is packed with nutrition and whips up cold and creamy. And if you prefer to add yogurt, I recommend 1/3 cup of vanilla Greek yogurt. (Check out my Chocolate-Date Smoothie and Peanut Butter & Berry Smoothie, also pictured.)

  1. PLACE all ingredients except ice in high-powered blender (such as a Vitamix); blend until creamy.
  2. ADD ice; blend until smooth.
Fresh Tips

Add a tablespoon of hemp seeds in the first step to boost the protein content. Hemp seeds are the most nutritious seeds, and a complete protein.

Frozen banana helps to give smoothies a cold, thick consistency.
