What?! A smoothie that is thick, chocolatey, and creamy? Yep, that’s right. When you are trying to stay on a healthy path but crave something satisfying, this is it. It’s practically like having a chocolate milkshake…without ice cream, of course!

  1. PLACE almond milk, almond butter, cocoa powder, frozen banana and strawberries in a high-powered blender (such as Vitamix); blend until creamy.
  2. ADD dates; blend until almost smooth (you will see flecks of dates).
  3. ADD ice; blend until thick and creamy.
Fresh Tips

It is key to use chilled almond milk, frozen strawberries and banana to get that perfect thick, creamy consistency.

I strongly recommend using soft, fresh dates, such as from a bulk bin, if possible. Trader Joe’s, among other stores, sells awesome fresh Medjool dates in the refrigerated case.
