I prefer apples whole, fresh and crisp. But now and then, you simply have to celebrate fall.
Vegetarian, Soy Free, Nut Free
MIX apples, granulated sugar, 2 Tbsp. flour and cinnamon in large bowl; spread evenly into 1-1/2-quart baking dish.
COMBINE remaining ingredients until crumbly. (Note: hands work well to thoroughly mix.) Spread over apples.
BAKE 45 to 50 minutes or until light golden brown and crisp on top. Best served warm.
Serve with vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt.
Choose baking apples, such as Granny Smith, Jonagold, Braeburn, Winesap, Cortland or Gala. A combination is best!
MAKE IT VEGAN:
Substitue vegan margarine for butter.
