Salmon Burgers

Salmon Burgers are quick to prepare with ingredients that are easy to keep on hand. You can simplify the recipe and omit the optional ingredients if you like. And I frequently serve just the burger (no bun), topped with ketchup or tartar sauce.

Instructions
  1. REMOVE skin and bones from salmon; place in medium bowl. Add oats, egg, green onion, mayonnaise, parsley, horseradish, and seasoning; mix well. Shape into 4 patties, about 1/2-inch thick. (Cover and refrigerate for several hours, if desired.)
  2. HEAT large skillet over medium heat for several minutes. Add oil and patties. Cook 3 minutes, or until color is light golden brown underneath. Flip carefully; continue cooking 3 to 4 minutes or until cooked through.
  3. PLACE lettuce and tomato on bottom halves of buns; top with burgers and red onion. Serve with ketchup, mayonnaise, or tartar sauce.
