Ice Cube Cuties

Add interest to the water glasses on your dinner table with beautiful ice cubes – and you can do it ahead of time. The flavors will seep into your water as the ice melts, giving a subtle, fresh taste. You can add fresh herbs year round, but I especially love to snip some from my yard in the summer. During the holiday season, I like to use fresh cranberries and mint leaves. What combinations you can come up with?

  1. PLACE a strawberry slice and mint leaf or small lemon slice into each compartment of ice cube trays. (Note: I prefer silicon trays which have a perfect cube shape and make it easier to pop out the ice.)
  2. POUR water into trays; freeze 3 hours or overnight. Fill drinking glasses with chilled water; add ice cubes and serve immediately. Note: See variations below for more options.
