Simple ingredients and about ten minutes of time is all you need to mix the batter for these homemade, fluffy pancakes that everyone will love.

  1. WHISK flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in large bowl.
  2. WHISK egg and melted butter in medium bowl. Stir vinegar into milk; blend into egg mixture. Make a well in center of dry ingredients; pour milk mixture into well and whisk gently just until blended. Do not overmix. Let batter stand 5 to 10 minutes.
  3. HEAT a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat for about 4 minutes. Brush bottom with oil. Use 1/4 cup of batter per pancake and pour onto skillet. Cook about 2 minutes or until bottom is light golden brown. Carefully flip; continue cooking about 1-1/2 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve with pure maple syrup.
Fresh Tips


Add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract to batter.


Make bear pancakes using a 3-1/2-inch round cutter for face and 2-inch cutter for ears (cut in half). Decorate face with banana slice and chocolate chips.


Use buttermilk for milk and vinegar.

Experiment with a mix of flour types, including oat flour, rice flour, and almond meal.
