Apple Chips with Caramel-Yogurt Dip

Think of an apple-flavored potato chip. Yum! Once the apple slices are baking, you can walk away while the oven does the work to crisp them up. Soon you will smell a wonderful aroma and think there is an apple pie baking. But hold on, you’ll save over 300 calories instead by munching on this healthy and tasty apple treat.

  1. HEAT oven to 200ºF.
  2. SLICE apples into thin (about 1/8-inch thick) slices. Note: a Mandoline works well and can be purchased inexpensively. They are useful for cutting other produce, too. Place slices on parchment paper-lined or Silicone Mat-lined baking sheet in single layer. If desired, sprinkle with cinnamon or cinnamon -sugar.
  3. BAKE 2 hours. Cool completely. (Apples will become crisp upon cooling.)
  4. PLACE yogurt in small serving bowl. Drizzle with caramel sauce; add few dashes of cinnamon, if desired.
